So just in case... and if you aren’t aware - we are OPEN for fresh flowers (among other products), but this is my friendly reminder that like everything in the world right now, ordering flowers is not “like usual”! There are many changes/adjustments to how we do business!
If you can't be there in person, the next best thing is to send love and thanks with flowers or gifts that can be delivered in town or picked up at the store!
However, our flower industry have been decimated by this pandemic (just as every industry has been). We are in Canada and obviously by the weather, it is NOT growing season in our country yet, so we are at the mercy of importing every flower!
We do have an easy to use website that shows past designs that we have created, just to give you an idea of our skill, style or colour palette. For now, you will order based on budget only. For now, we cannot recreate designs you see, especially now. We aren’t a big corporation that can churn out 50 cookie cutter arrangements of one design. In reality I’m very proud of that fact! Thankfully, we are a small business, where every order is created just for you and is one of a kind!! Like snowflakes, no two arrangements or bouquets are alike. Normally, flowers and specific colours vary due to many factors, like season, availability, etc. But now flower suppliers/farms have been faced with a giant global pandemic that has shut down the entire world. Flower farms have closed or at the very least have cut staff. Crops have been destroyed or sacrificed so that they can put their remaining energy/resources into focusing attention to tending other specific types of crops, just to be able to keep farms operating.
Each week we order a “wish list” but it is completely subject to substitutes and changes. Our suppliers have been absolutely amazing at sending us the best quality flowers that they have available each week. We don’t know what we get until we open the boxes. That in itself has been a pleasant surprise during this difficult time. All flowers really are beautiful. But this means we will not or can’t guarantee specific color designs or specific flowers during this time!! Hopefully one day in the future. If you need something specific, please pre-order a minimum of a month in advance, we will try our best but cannot guarantee that it will be available.
For now, please trust us! We will take creative license to design a beautiful bouquet or arrangement to your specified budget! If you’ve seen our past designs, our talent and love of flowers speaks for itself. We only send out creations that are beautiful and handmade with love. We would never send out anything we didn’t stand by. So, please trust our expertise and years of knowledge to create something beautiful for your loved one, friend or yourself, that best showcases the blooms we have vs a specific design you’ve spotted on the Internet. The next major change: PLEASE pre-order at minimu two business days in advance!! Walk-ins are allowed as long as everyone retains proper social distancing. But... it would help us tremendously if you pre-ordered, at least your flowers!! We are running on limited varied hours and no extra staff! We aren't open 6 days a week!! Mostly Tuesday - Friday (though that can change with kids appointments).
It’s just myself and I'm juggling being a mom too! To place a last minute order please call the store directly at 204-859-3334. If you leave a message, we will get it! As a “one woman, small business show”, I just don’t have the man power to check social media/email regularly if we get busy. In reality, it might get checked once a day, if I’m lucky and most likely before I’m crashing into bed!
So pre-ordering (at least two business days before) in advance will help us be able to keep up with orders, better schedule pickups/deliveries to better control how many people are in the store at one time, control the length of time of people being in the store, able to sanitize between shoppers, and lastly better able to ensure we have enough product available.
